So sorry about your Father. I’ve felt like I’ve been drifting at sea since my Mother passed. It’s great to have no brainer outfits to fall back on. Praise The Lord Jesus, we will see our Parents again!

Hi Fan, I'm sitting on the deck at the beach in the SUN, thinking that this would cure your existential dread, or at least help somewhat. My Survival outfit, if you asked, is surely my Entire World grey sweat combo, worn with my marimekko puffer from UNIQLO, more for comfort that warmth. Keep posting, your followers miss you.

100% have emotional support outfits (brilliant name!!). I live in Vermont so no one is phased. Actually I think everyone in Vermont has one.

This is so good Fanny! I recently experienced outfit paralysis when I had to get dressed for something that was outside of my usual routine and I defaulted to my core stalwart pieces. Def an emotional support outfit!! Such an amazing way to view it and so many good ideas here xx

We should all have a go-to look that can be used for many occasions with minor tweaks, for when we feel uninspired, it's a good tool to have!

Emotional Support Outfit is brilliant, brilliant. I was just connecting the dots on how my outfits (specifically how tight they are) are related to my need for control. For example, I am trying to prepare my family for vacation and I found myself reaching for tighter clothes. Weird, right? So comfortable outfit for emotional comfort tracks.

That makes sense! Tight = control.

Fanny, this totally tracks. A sweater over my shoulders (with basically whatever) is my way of indicating: I'm down but NOT OUT.

Sometimes looking "together" is the best we can do when we're in pieces. I know getting dressed helps me push through those hard days, weeks, months. Hope things are on the up and up for you. My ESO is a pair of jeans a size up from my normal size, a white shirt (lightens the mood!) which could be a button up or a tee (or anything, really), a pair of flats, and my favorite jewelry. Looking forward to your conversation with Maureen on her Intuitive Style podcast!

Yes, comfort is key in an ESO, I second your use of bigger jeans and fave jewelry. 💙
